Menrian
A moment to unwind in the city.
麺りあん in Sasazuka serves a wide range of small plates and noodles, from shiso gyoza and rich chicken paitan noodles to light soy-sauce ramen—choices for a late-night meal or a drink.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
麺りあん stands along Kōshū Kaidō in Sasazuka, with noodles and drinks served in a relaxed, izakaya-like atmosphere. Open late into the night, it is a familiar option for everything from a drink after work to a meal at a later hour.
Small plates are a natural place to start, with plenty of variety to enjoy before the noodles arrive. The selection includes shiso gyoza with a fresh, aromatic flavour, familiar karaage and stir-fried vegetables, plus small plates pairing chashu with menma. Settle in with bottled beer, highballs or sours, taking your time over the food before moving on to a final dish; reviewers describe an easy, unhurried flow to the meal.
The noodle selection ranges from light to richly flavoured, with options to suit your appetite and mood. The light soy-sauce ramen and salted ramen with a seasoned egg have a gentle, easy-to-eat quality that reviewers appreciate, particularly after a drink. For a deeper, more substantial broth, the menu also includes rich chicken paitan noodles and tantanmen, as well as zaru ramen served in a dipping-noodle style. Rice dishes bring a few distinctive choices, including ume-shiso fried rice and black fried rice, which can also be enjoyed alongside noodles.
There are counter seats and tables, making it an easygoing place for a solo meal or a conversation among a few people. PayPay payments and takeout are available, adding to its appeal as a place to keep in mind for a late-night meal.
